UV gel, powder gel or Shellac

  • UV gel

    The gel is built up on the natural nail or an extension and cured under UV light. This lets us reshape length and form.

  • Powder gel

    An extension made of gel and powder that is easy to shape before curing. It also lengthens or strengthens the nail.

  • Shellac

    A colour polish that cures under UV light and stays on the natural nail. It lasts longer than nail polish but does not add length.

What is the difference between gel and Shellac?

UV gel or powder gel is used to build an extension, which lengthens or strengthens the nail. Shellac is a colour polish that cures under UV light and stays on the natural nail.

When does an extension need an infill?

The natural nail grows out and a gap appears at the base. An infill is usual after about three to four weeks.

Can I remove gel or Shellac myself?

Better not: pulling or filing it off at home easily damages the natural nail. Removal in the studio costs €20.
